Only R10 sponsors a child for one day to participate at our Holiday Program
and receive a hot lunch.
Due to the economic circumstances of the township, most children remain on the streets during school vacation. Izizwe Projects has helped provide a safe and fun environment for them by organizing a Holiday Program. We offer four Holiday Programs per year. We have two long Holiday Programs (three weeks) in June and December as well as the two short ones (two weeks) in April and September. During this program, each kid participates in activities such as sports, arts & crafts, dancing and fun & games. A talent show on the last day is something all the kids love! In the end of every day we offer the children a small lunch and cool drinks so they can go home safe and sound.
Each of our previous Holiday Programs has attracted over 200 children per day from all around the township. We are thankful for everyone who sponsored this amazing program in the last years. We are looking forward to the next upcoming holidays!
