Walmer Lower Primary School is one of only two primary schools in the entire township. The school holds about 750 students from grades 1 through grade 7, who are typically between the ages of 6-14 years. The average ratio between teacher to student is 1:50.

Despite a strong need, the school does not provide special education for those with learning disabilities. Started in August 2012, the Aftercare Homework Club meets every Monday afternoon to help children with their homework and provide further instruction in English and Math.  We also teach the kids of Walmer Lower Primary sports, because they don’t have sports teachers at the school, where they can work on their self-confidence, teamwork and sports skills. Last but not least, we have our Dance Program which runs at the Walmer Lower Primary School, for 4 day a week.
